SCS No.2 - Do you CBD?

Happy Self-Care Saturday! In this week's installment, we're exploring the world of CBD for everything from regulating sleep cycles to treating acne. Synonymous with Marijuana, CBD has recently reclaimed her proverbial "time" by showing up in products we all could use to make this thing called life a little less stressful. While many still have yet to cozy up to CBD, namely due to its relation to marijuana, however the girls who get it, get it and have unapologetically added CBD to their "girl, gone" routine!

Cannibidoil or CBD is gaining popularity in the self-care space as a way to find relief from lots of issues. A safe and legal alternative to THC-laden products such as marijuana or similar derivatives, CBD is used for a myriad of things from pain relief to skincare.

Here are a few potential reasons why women may be drawn to CBD:

  1. Pain relief: Women may be more likely to experience certain types of pain, such as menstrual cramps, which can be difficult to manage with traditional pain relievers. CBD has been found to have analgesic effects, which can help reduce pain.

  2. Reducing anxiety and stress: Women may be more likely to experience anxiety and stress due to a variety of factors, such as hormonal fluctuations, societal pressures, and caregiving responsibilities. CBD has been found to have anxiolytic effects, which can help reduce symptoms of anxiety and stress.

  3. Treating certain health conditions: Women may be more likely to experience certain health conditions, such as endometriosis or PCOS, which can be difficult to manage with traditional treatments. CBD has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation and alleviate symptoms of certain health conditions.

  4. Improving sleep: Women may be more likely to experience sleep disturbances due to hormonal fluctuations or other factors. CBD has been found to have sedative effects, which can help improve sleep quality.

  5. Skincare: Women may be drawn to CBD-infused skincare products, which have been found to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as alleviate skin conditions like acne and eczema.

It's important to note that while CBD may be helpful for many women, it should not be used as a replacement for medical treatment or therapy, and individuals should always consult with a healthcare professional before using CBD.
